Working With TreySourcing

Are We a Good Fit?

Not every buyer needs a sourcing agent. And not every sourcing agent is right for every buyer.

We work best with clients who communicate clearly, have realistic expectations and are willing to make decisions together with us. This page explains where our way of working tends to fit best.

A Good Match

We're Probably a Good Fit If...

You don't need to be an expert in China sourcing. What matters more is having a real project, realistic expectations and a willingness to work through the details together.

01

You have a real project — even if you haven't figured everything out yet.

You may have a product photo, sample, rough drawing, competitor listing or simply an idea. That's fine. What matters is that you genuinely intend to move the project forward and are willing to clarify the details with us.

02

You want more than just the cheapest factory.

Price matters, and negotiating is part of our job. But quality, reliability, lead time, production capability, compliance and how a supplier handles problems matter too.

03

You're willing to test before you bet big.

Starting small is not a problem. For a new product or supplier, sampling and trial orders can be the sensible thing to do. We'd rather identify problems early than after thousands of units have been produced.

04

You're open to honest advice — even when it isn't the answer you hoped for.

Sometimes a target price isn't realistic. Sometimes a supplier that looks good on paper isn't one we'd recommend. If we see a problem, we'll tell you instead of simply saying what you want to hear.

05

You're prepared to review trade-offs and make decisions with us.

We can find suppliers, compare quotations, negotiate, follow production, inspect goods, solve problems and advise based on what we see in China. But when a project reaches a trade-off between price, quality, timing, materials or risk, we still need your feedback and approval so the project can keep moving.

May Not Be the Right Match

We May Not Be the Right Fit If...

This doesn't mean you're a bad buyer. It simply means our way of working may not be the right match for what you're looking for.
01 You're mainly looking for free supplier research or quotations.

We're happy to have an initial conversation about your project. But detailed supplier research, quotation comparison, factory screening, product development and supplier coordination are part of the work we provide — not a free information-gathering service.

02 You expect the lowest possible price regardless of order size or trade-offs.

Price matters, and negotiating is part of our job. But the cheapest quotation is not always the cheapest outcome.

A low price feels good when you pay. Poor quality, delays, rework and supplier problems can keep costing you long after.

Order quantity matters too: a small trial order and a large production run do not have the same cost structure. We negotiate based on the order you're actually placing, while looking at the overall value of the order — not just the lowest number on a quotation.

03 You expect development costs or financial risk to be absorbed by someone else.

Samples, molds, tooling, packaging design, testing, certification and custom development can involve real costs. Payment terms also need to reflect the actual project. We try to keep costs reasonable, but neither we nor a supplier can be expected to finance an unproven project or carry disproportionate risk.

04 Your requirements keep changing, but the price and deadline can't.

Products evolve, and specifications sometimes change. That's normal. But changing materials, dimensions, colors, logos, packaging, quantities or testing requirements can also change cost and lead time. When the scope changes, the commercial terms may need to change with it.

05 Your quality expectations and budget simply don't match.

Every product involves trade-offs. If the required materials, quality level, packaging, testing, compliance and target price do not realistically fit together, we'd rather explain that early than find a supplier willing to promise something it cannot reliably deliver.

06 You expect us to bend legal, customs or compliance rules to save money.

There are legitimate ways to optimize sourcing, shipping, packaging and landed cost. Falsifying documents is not one of them. We won't knowingly under-declare values, misrepresent products or bypass applicable customs, legal or compliance requirements.

07 You want us to make every decision for you — and take responsibility for all of them.

We're here to investigate, advise and recommend. We'll explain what we see and where we think the risks are. But it is still your product and your business, so decisions about specifications, quality, budget, quantities, packaging and commercial risk ultimately require your approval.

Don't Have Everything Figured Out?

Not Sure Yet? That's Okay.

You don't need a finished specification sheet before contacting us. A product link, photo, sample or rough idea is enough to start.

✓ You only have a product photo, link, sample or rough drawing.
✓ You're still working out materials, specifications or MOQ.
✓ You want to improve an existing product or sample.
✓ You need help turning the idea into something factories can quote.

What matters is that the project is real and you're willing to work through the details with us.
